Common causes and solutions of gas boiler burner failures
1. Causes of failure of gas boiler burner ignition rod not igniting:
1.1. There is carbon residue and oil stains in the gap between the ignition rods.
1.2. The ignition rod is broken. Moist. Leakage.
1.3. The distance between the ignition rods is wrong, too long or short.
1.4. The insulation skin of the ignition rod is damaged and short-circuited to ground.
1.5. The ignition cable and transformer are faulty: the cable is disconnected, the connector is damaged, causing a short circuit during ignition; the transformer is disconnected or other faults occur.
Approach:
Clear, replace with new ones, adjust distance, change wires, change transformers.
2. Causes of failure of gas boiler ignition rod sparks but failure to ignite
2.1. The ventilation gap of the cyclone disk is blocked by carbon deposits and the ventilation is poor.
2.2 The oil nozzle is dirty, clogged or worn.
2.3. The damper setting angle is too small.
2.4. The distance between the tip of the ignition rod and the front of the oil nozzle is inappropriate (too protruding or retracted)
2.5. No. 1: The solenoid valve of the oil gun is blocked by debris (small fire oil gun).
2.6. The oil is too viscous to flow easily or the filter system is clogged or the oil valve is not opened, resulting in insufficient oil suction by the oil pump and low oil pressure.
2.7. The oil pump itself and the filter are clogged.
2.8. The oil contains a lot of water (there is an abnormal sound of boiling in the heater).
Approach:
Clean; clean first, if not, replace with new one; adjust the size and test; adjust the distance (preferably 3~4mm); disassemble and clean (clean the parts with diesel); check the pipelines, oil filters, and insulation equipment; remove the oil pump Remove the peripheral screws, carefully remove the outer cover, take out the oil screen inside, and soak it in diesel oil; replace it with new oil and try it.
3. The cause of the failure of the gas boiler, when the small fire is normal and turns to a large fire, it goes out or flickers erratically.
3.1. The air volume of the fire damper is set too high.
3.2. The micro switch of the oil valve of the large fire (the outermost group of dampers) is not set appropriately (the air volume is set to be larger than that of the damper of the large fire).
3.3. The oil viscosity is too high and difficult to atomize (heavy oil).
3.4. The distance between the cyclone plate and the oil nozzle is improper.
3.5. The high-fire oil nozzle is worn or dirty.
3.6. The heating temperature of the reserve oil tank is too high, causing steam to cause difficulty in oil delivery by the oil pump.
3.7. The oil in the oil-fired boiler contains water.
Approach:
Gradually reduce the test; increase the heating temperature; adjust the distance (between 0~10mm); clean or replace; set to about 50C; change the oil or drain the water.
4. Causes of increased noise in gas boiler burners
4.1. The stop valve in the oil circuit is closed or the oil inflow is insufficient, and the oil filter is blocked.
4.2. The inlet oil temperature is low, the viscosity is too high or the pump inlet oil temperature is too high.
4.3. The oil pump is faulty.
4.4. The fan motor bearing is damaged.
4.5. The fan impeller is too dirty.
Approach:
1. Check whether the valve in the oil pipeline is open, whether the oil filter is working properly, and clean the filter screen of the pump itself.
2. Heating or lowering the oil temperature.
3. Replace the oil pump.
4. Replace the motor or bearings.
5. Clean the fan impeller.
