When it comes to safety valves, everyone knows that this is a very important protection valve. It is basically used in all types of pressure vessels and pipeline systems. Of course, it is not missing in boiler equipment. When the pressure in the pressurized system is greater than the limit value, the safety valve can open automatically and discharge excess medium into the atmosphere to ensure the safe operation of the boiler and avoid accidents.
When the pressure in the boiler system drops within the required area, the safety valve can also automatically close. Therefore, if there is a problem with it, these functions will not be successfully performed, and the safe operation of the boiler cannot be fundamentally guaranteed.
What is more common is that when the boiler is operating normally, the sealing surface of the valve disc and valve seat of the safety valve leaks more than the allowable level. This will not only cause medium loss, but also cause damage to the hard sealing material. Therefore, factors should be analyzed and dealt with on time.
There are three specific factors that cause boiler safety valve leakage. On the one hand, there may be debris on the valve sealing surface. The sealing surface is cushioned, causing a gap under the valve core and valve seat, and then leakage. The way to eliminate this kind of fault is to clean up the dirt and debris that fell into the sealing surface and remove it regularly. You also need to pay attention to inspection and cleaning at ordinary times.
On the other hand, it is possible that the sealing surface of the boiler safety method is damaged, which greatly reduces the hardness of the sealing surface, thereby causing the sealing function to decline. A more reasonable way to eliminate this phenomenon is to cut off the original sealing surface, and then resurfacing it according to the drawing requirements to improve the surface hardness of the sealing surface.
Another factor is caused by improper installation or the size of related parts is too large. During installation, the valve core and seat are not aligned or there is light transmission on the joint surface, and then the sealing surface of the valve core and seat is too wide, which is not conducive to sealing.
Try to avoid the occurrence of similar phenomena. Before using the boiler, you must carefully check the size and uniformity of the matching gap around the safety valve core to ensure that the valve core hole and the sealing surface are aligned; and appropriately reduce the width of the sealing surface according to the drawing requirements to achieve Reasonable and effective sealing to reduce the occurrence of leaks.
