During the long-term use of boilers/steam generators, safety hazards must be promptly recorded and discovered, and maintenance of the boiler/steam generator must be done during shutdown periods.
1. Check whether the performance of boiler/steam generator pressure gauges, water level gauges, safety valves, sewage devices, water supply valves, steam valves, etc. meet the requirements, and whether the opening and closing status of other valves is in good condition.
2. Whether the performance status of the boiler/steam generator automatic control device system, including flame detectors, water level, water temperature detection, alarm devices, various interlocking devices, display control systems, etc., meets the requirements.
3. Whether the boiler/steam generator water supply system, including the water level of the water storage tank, water supply temperature, water treatment equipment, etc., meets the requirements.
4. Whether the boiler/steam generator combustion system, including fuel reserves, transmission lines, combustion equipment, ignition equipment, fuel cut-off devices, etc., meet the requirements.
5. The boiler/steam generator ventilation system, including the opening of the blower, induced draft fan, regulating valve and gate, and ventilation ducts, are in good condition.
Boiler/Steam Generator Maintenance
1. Boiler/steam generator maintenance during normal operation:
1.1 Regularly check whether the water level indicator valves, pipes, flanges, etc. are leaking.
1.2 Keep the burner clean and the adjustment system flexible.
1.3 Regularly remove the scale inside the boiler/steam generator cylinder and wash it with clean water.
1.4 Inspect the inside and outside of the boiler/steam generator, such as whether there is any corrosion on the welds of the pressure-bearing parts and the steel plates inside and outside. If serious defects are found, repair them as soon as possible. If the defects are not serious, they can be left for repair at the next shutdown of the furnace. , if anything suspicious is found but does not affect production safety, a record should be made for future reference.
1.5 If necessary, remove the outer shell, insulation layer, etc. for thorough inspection. If serious damage is found, it must be repaired before continued use. At the same time, the inspection and repair information should be filled in the boiler/steam generator safety technical registration book.
2. When the boiler/steam generator is not used for a long time, there are two methods for maintaining the boiler/steam generator: dry method and wet method. The dry maintenance method should be used if the furnace is shut down for more than one month, and the wet maintenance method can be used if the furnace is shut down for less than one month.
2.1 Dry maintenance method, after the boiler/steam generator is shut down, drain the boiler water, thoroughly remove the internal dirt and rinse it, then blow it dry with cold air (compressed air), and then divide the 10-30 mm lumps of quicklime into plates. Install it and place it in the drum. Remember not to let the quicklime come into contact with metal. The weight of quicklime is calculated based on 8 kilograms per cubic meter of drum volume. Finally, close all holes, hand holes, and pipe valves, and check it every three months. If The quicklime is pulverized and should be replaced immediately, and the quicklime tray should be removed when the boiler/steam generator is recommissioned.
2.2 Wet maintenance method: After the boiler/steam generator is shut down, drain the boiler water, thoroughly remove the internal dirt, rinse it, re-inject the treated water until it is full, and heat the boiler water to 100°C to exhaust the gas in the water. Take it out of the furnace, and then close all valves. This method cannot be used in places with cold weather to avoid freezing of the furnace water and damaging the boiler/steam generator.
