A:The steam generator can be filled with water after a full inspection of the steam generator before the ignition is completed.
Notice:
1. Water quality: Steam boilers need to use soft water that has passed the test after water treatment.
2. Water temperature: The temperature of the water supply should not be too high, and the water supply speed should be slow to prevent thermal stress caused by uneven heating of the boiler or water leakage caused by the gap formed by the expansion of the pipeline. For cooled steam boilers, the inlet water temperature does not exceed 90°C in summer and 60°C in winter.
3. Water level: There should not be too many water inlets, otherwise the water level will be too high when the water is heated and expanded, and the drain valve must be opened to release the water, resulting in waste. Generally, when the water level is between the normal water level and the low water level of the water level gauge, the water supply can be stopped.
4. When entering the water, first pay attention to the air in the water pipe of the steam generator and the economizer to avoid water hammer.
5. After stopping the water supply for about 10 minutes, check the water level again. If the water level drops, the drain valve and drain valve may be leaking or not closed; if the water level rises, the boiler’s inlet valve may be leaking or the feed pump may not stop. The cause should be found and eliminated. During the water supply period, the inspection of the drum, header, valves of each part, manhole and handhole cover on the flange and wall head should be strengthened to check for water leakage. If water leakage is found, the steam generator will immediately stop the water supply and deal with it.
