Due to the increasing number of applications of steam generators, the range is wide. Users of steam generators and boilers should go to the quality inspection department to complete the registration procedures one by one before using the equipment or within 30 days after it is put into use.
Steam generators also need to be inspected regularly and the requirements are as follows:
1. Regular inspections of steam generators, including external inspections when the steam generator is in operation, internal inspections and water (withstand) pressure tests when the steam generator is shut down early;
2. The user unit of the steam generator should arrange regular inspections of the steam generator and submit a periodic inspection application to the inspection and testing agency one month before the next inspection date of the steam generator. The inspection and testing agency should formulate an inspection plan.
Whether certificates and annual inspections are required vary. Of course, steam generators that do not require supervisory inspection are the choice of more and more manufacturers. On the market, the effective water volume of the steam generator inner tank is 30L, which is the main standard for inspection-free steam generators.
1. According to the relevant provisions of the national “Pot Regulations”, steam generators with an effective water volume in the inner tank <30L are not within the scope of supervisory inspection and are exempt from supervisory inspection. Boiler operators do not need to hold certificates to work, nor do they need regular inspections.
2. Fuel and gas steam generators with an effective water volume in the inner tank >30L must go through inspection procedures in accordance with regulations, that is, they must undergo supervisory inspection.
3. When the normal water volume of a steam boiler is ≥30L and ≤50L, it is a Class D boiler, which means that there is no need to register for use in accordance with the above regulations, no operator certification is required, and no regular inspection is required.
To make a long story short, when the equipment is a Class D steam engine boiler, the scope of inspection exemption becomes wider. Only fuel and gas steam generators with normal water volume in the inner tank >50L need to go through registration filing and supervisory inspection procedures.
In summary, the inspection-free requirements for fuel and gas steam generators mainly depend on the effective water volume of the inner tank, and the water volume of the inner tank required for inspection-free fuel and gas steam generators varies depending on the equipment level.
