The role of concrete steam curing equipment
During winter construction, the temperature is low and the air is dry. The concrete hardens slowly and the strength is difficult to meet the expected requirements. The hardness of concrete products without steam curing must not meet the standard. The use of steam curing to improve the strength of concrete can be achieved from the following two points:
1. Prevent cracks. When the outside temperature drops to freezing point, the water in the concrete will freeze. After the water turns into ice, the volume will expand rapidly in a short period of time, which will destroy the structure of the concrete. At the same time, the climate is dry. After the concrete hardens, it will Cracks will form and their strength will naturally weaken.
2. Concrete steam curing has enough water for hydration. If the moisture on the surface and inside of the concrete dries too quickly, it will be difficult to continue hydration. Steam curing can not only ensure the temperature conditions required for concrete hardening, but also humidify, slow down the evaporation of water, and promote the hydration reaction of concrete.
How to perform steam curing with steam?
In concrete curing, strengthen the control of the humidity and temperature of the concrete, minimize the exposure time of the surface concrete, and cover the exposed surface of the concrete tightly in a timely manner. It can be covered with cloth, plastic sheet, etc. to prevent evaporation. Before starting to cure the concrete exposing the protective surface layer, the covering should be rolled up and the surface should be rubbed and compressed with plaster at least twice to smooth it and covered again.
At this point, care should be taken that the overlay should not be in direct contact with the concrete surface until the concrete is finally cured. After pouring concrete, if the weather is hot, the air is dry, and the concrete is not cured in time, the water in the concrete will evaporate too quickly, causing dehydration, so that the cement particles that form the gel cannot completely solidify the water and cannot be cured.
In addition, when the concrete strength is insufficient, premature evaporation will produce larger shrinkage deformation and shrinkage cracks. Therefore, it is very important to use a concrete curing steam generator to cure the concrete in the early stages of pouring. The concrete should be cured immediately after the final shape is formed and dry hard concrete should be cured immediately after pouring.
